An Australian airline has been named the best regional airline in the Asia-Pacific region.
Regional Express was awarded the Regional Airline of the Year by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) at a ceremony in Singapore.
The award is given to the regional airline that has had the most significant impact, shown strategic leadership and demonstrated innovation in regional aviation.
Regional Express has displayed a superb commitment to regional areas in Australia, helping breath life into cities that have struggled with air service cuts and the effects of the ongoing drought. It took a focused, efficient operator to make these services a success, Peter Harbison, Executive Chairman of CAPA, said.
