Today we introduce a new writer as a contributor to our blog. Dave Ford is an American that has given up his normal life and decided to be a travel writer and all-round adventurer.
This is how Dave describes himself in his blog:
I worked my ass off for 6 years, put some cash in the bank, and set off to see what else was out there in the world. What I am finding is completely rocking my world. Life has never been better. I have walked through Penguin colonies in Antarctica, climbed mountains, layed on some of the best beaches in the world in Brazil, and have stood in front of wonders of the world. I am just getting started.... Currently less than 20% of Americans hold Passports. If you do not have one, go get one and see what else is out there. I promise you will not regret it.
What would happen to the world perception of the US if Americans traveled the world as a right of passage like Australians?
Dave has just finished an eight month trip through South America which is a continent very dear to me as many of you already know. We will be posting some of his work from that trip from now on as well as his upcoming work when he does a cross-country trip in the US followed by his foray into Africa.
Dave's work can be found at: www.daveforddoesearth.com
We welcome Dave to our staff and hope you enjoy his writing as much as we do.
