lst October went to the Pihilippines for the first time...for my honeymoon...great place ...very different I thought from other islands that i have been to (Bali & all of Caribbean)..flew straight to Cebu...do not fly into Manilla if you dont have to...better fly to Cebu, not as chaotic!!...stayed in the city of Cebu called the Crown Regency...One thing i found in Philippines, they are not used to seeing white people....its not a bad thing..but different experince...they beaches in Cebu are not the best..they are ok..there is one fantastic beach there with a great place to snorkle off on the east of the island...but Cebu is a great starting place..the food is cheap!!!taxi's r cheap..as long as you say you are a local you will not get ripped off!!but lovely friendly people in general...Borocay Island is amazing..the most beautiful beach in the world, and ive seen a few beauties so far in my short life....The island of Bohol is amazing..you have to see the Chocolate Islands..its an amazing site...there are around a thousand of the humps or mountains just popping out of the earth for as far as the eye can see for 360 degrees...its something special!!!..love the Philippines & will go back for sure at some stage...7000 island & we only went to 3...so there is alot to explore..plus went to my friends village where he grew up, and played Basketball there with the locals..it was great..some of the locals had never seen a white man before..I was the only white man to go into the village in the last 30 years..it was an excellent experience!
