Sardinia is one of the most beautiful islands in the med. Its amazing hills of baron land scapes over looking some of the most beautiful beached europe has to offer. Great for a bike ride on a rented harley for eg. I spent 3 months of the med summer for 5 years in Sardinia. Mainly in a harbour villiage called Porto Cervo. Just round the corner is the beautiful Cala di Volpe. Beautiful white sand & water the same colour you would find in the pacific.
Sardinia is not cheap, but if you do your homework you can definately have a great pizza or pasta with some house wine for a reasonable price ( 20 euros )....Sardinia a lovely place to visit...you can easily take a nice boat cruise north to the next island Corsica. The port of Bonifacio,births some of the most luxurious private yachts in the world..and the entrance into the port is something amazing...huge cliffs on either side as the land parts and makes way for one of the most beautiful villages France has to offer...A stop in this part of the world is highly recommended.
