Nudity and disrespectful stunts should be banned on Mount Everest, according to Nepal's mountaineering authorities.
The Nepal Mountaineering Association has called for strict regulations on record attempts on the world's highest mountain, according to Associated Press.
The call follows last year's successful bid by a Nepali climber to claim the world's highest display of nudity, when he disrobed for several minutes while standing on the 8850-metre summit in temperatures about 10 degrees Celsius below zero.
Other record-setting attempts that sparked controversy included a Dutch man who attempted to scale the peak wearing only shorts.
There should be strict regulations to discourage such attempts by climbers, Ang Tshering, president of Nepal Mountaineering Association, told AP. - Travelpress travel news
